Matches

Matches is initially quite an awkard shopping experience, the shop is tiny and there were more staff than people shopping in the space, so I had all eyes on me. This made me feel worse because I knew I wasn't going to buy anything and then I was thinking about whether it was completely obvious to them that this was the case? How many people had they had come in that day doing the same thing? I tested out their customer service by enquiring about the mailing list, and a young woman quite happily answered my questions and actually made me feel welcome and comfortable.
The shop is brightly lit, and doesn't have any mood lighting to suggest it wants you to go to a particular part of the shop. It does, however, lay out its clothes in the form of outfit pieces, such as shoes, accessories, top and bottom, this will make the customer feel as though they can automatically pick things up and they will go together without much thought, which in turn, makes a quick sale of a lot of goods.
